Our Team


james neves

James is a sound supervisor, re-recording mixer, and founder of the goblin cave studios. Originally from Halifax, James started his career in live sound, mixing concerts and live theatre productions. He later moved to Vancouver to take the globally recognized sound design for visual media course from the Vancouver Film School. Since graduating, he has worked for a wide variety of clients including Air Bud Entertainment, DHX Media, Hallmark, Mattel creative, and Lionsgate.

In depth training from award winning sound designers, mixers, and recordists, combined with his experience working on films for major clients has shaped the way that James approaches film making and sound design. He is fully capable of handling dialogue editing, ADR, voice over, sound design, and mixing needs for any scope of project. As the sound supervisor, he takes pride in his ability to work together with clients and to guide his team to craft the best sounding film experience possible.

Dylan pittman

Dylan is an accomplished sound designer in both film and game audio. During his time at the Vancouver Film School, Dylan worked on the award winning game Zeta Busters which debuted at E3 in 2015. In the years since his graduation he has had the chance to work as a dialogue recordist on major AAA video game franchises as well as recording walla for the animated feature film sausage party.


rachel soong

Rachel Soong is a sound designer and film composer. She is a graduate from the Vancouver Film School, where she completed the Sound Design for Visual Media program, with honors. Rachel also holds a Master of Music from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Alberta.

With a working experience of both production and post-production sound, Rachel has the skills to provide projects of any size with production sound recording, Foley walking & recording, sound effects editing, dialog editing, ADR recording, asset implementation, music composition & editing, and re-recording mixing. She also comes from an extensive teaching background, and has been a guest Foley teacher at APRA in Calgary, AB.

Brendan barber (barber shop audio)

Striving to share his passion for sound with the world, Brendan Barber started Barber Shop Audio as a means to bring his creative vision to the screen. Specializing in on set production recording, Foley, SFX recording and editing, and sound design, Brendan brings quality and creativity to the fast paced film industry.

Brendan's experience stems from his initial studies at the Academy of Production and Recording Arts (APRA) in Calgary, AB. He later went on to receive a Diploma in Sound Design for Visual Media from the world renowned Vancouver Film School (VFS) in Vancouver, BC. During his time in Vancouver, Brendan expanded his versatility, becoming extremely well versed in sound design for film and game audio.
